July 1907-July 2007. 100 years ago, Baden Powell funded scouting, organizing the first scout camp in the British island Brownsea.
A century later, scouts of the Paris neighborhood are going to a spring camp quite original : on boats on the Sarthe river.
Following them on a daily basis, from lock to bivouacs, we discover the scouting of today, probably a little more relax, but still hierarchical and structured. It also goes back to ancient camps’ spirit : sleeping under a tent, evening gatherings around a campfire, solemnly promises.
Surprises guests introduce and give their comments about this vision of scouting in immersion, comparing it to remarkable moments in the history of scouting movement, but also to its values.
Are the boy scouts cheesy ? Old fashion ? The audience will be the judge.
