Jazz, classical, oriental music... many influences permeate the music of the young Tunisian violinist Jasser Haj Youssef, who is a virtuoso of this fabulous forgotten instrument: the viola d’amore. With the Musicians du Louvre Grenoble, he takes us on a musical journey from Tunisian "mâqâms" to Bach sonatas by way of baroque airs played on ancient instruments. A musical conversation between both sides of the Mediterranean.
Recorded during the Détours de Babel Festival.

Programme :
Samai, Reveria I, Reveria II, Choral, Echos, Jasser HaJ Youssef / Lamento di Tristano, anonyme, arrangement Jasser Haj Youssef / L’Art de la Fugue, J.S. Bach
