AL JARREAU at the Olympia 90'  - 2015  - ZYCOPOLIS Productions
    Synopsis

Al Jarreau’s last filmed concert !

After more than 60 albums, Al Jarreau has worked with the greatest (George Benson, Jon Hendriks) . In the past, some of his albums were dedicated to Al Green and Bill Withers, and here, at the olympia, his concert is a tribute to his friend George Duke.

At four, young Jarreau plays in public for the first time, under the bewildered gaze of his parson father and pianist mother. After a short career in psychology, he opts for music. In 1965 he records his first album, appears on TV and starts writing his own songs.

Ten years later, after an other album, Al Jarreau is elected best singer by the readers of the influential magazine Down Beat. His notoriety has increased ever since and in 1985 he contributes to the charity album «We Are The World». A regular guests of the greatest festivals, especially Montreux, he impresses his audiences by his vocal gifts and his extraordinary talent as a performer.
Between 1970 and 2000, Al Jarreau has received 7 grammies. He is one of the few singers who has been rewarded in 3 different categories: jazz, R&B and Pop.
