    Royal Southern Brotherhood 87'  - 2016  - CLC Productions
    Synopsis

“Amplified soul for a new generation”... It may sound pretentious, but the Royal Southern Brotherhood lives up to its claim with a tribal beat, a heady groove that hits the mark and a certain laid-back attitude characteristic of the humidity of the American Deep South. A meeting of the swaying rhythms of New Orleans and what is commonly known as Southern rock...
A kind of “super group” that refines its style beyond musical performance by whittling down its writing and composition.
At the helm: Cyril Neville (who has worked with The Meters, Galactic, Bono and Taj Mahal as well as the cream of New Orleans musicians). Tyrone Vaughan, son of guitarist Jimmie Vaughan. It could be a difficult legacy, but Tyrone develops his own style in this original repertoire. Bart Walker, winner of the IBC’s Best Guitarist Award in Memphis in 2012. And a rhythm section composed of Yonrico Scott on drums (who has collaborated with Nappy Brown, Derek Trucks Band and Ray Charles) and Darell Phillips on bass.
