    Synopsis

Four instrumentalists, anchored in the present day, exile themselves in an ancestral vocal repertoire from the magnificent album "Les Voix du Monde ": a journey through the imagination and potency of music created by humans throughout their evolution.
A funeral song with the consonance of children’s rhyme, Fernand Bordage taking his oxen to plough the Vendéen marshes, two Inuit women performing a throat song punctuated by laughter, the last Selk'nam shaman in Terra del Fuego repeating litanies the colour of rock...
In recreate these irregular, complex vocal textures as accurately as possible, the members of the quartet customise their instruments with a variety of objects, including clothes pegs, bird decoys, pieces of wood or metal, chopsticks and sponges.

Recorded at the Jazz Jazz Festival on April 13th, 2019 at the Scène Nationale d'Orléans
