Grandaddy at the GaitÉ Lyrique 69'  - 2017  - La Blogothèque
    Synopsis

It's a group that accompanied a generation throughout the whole of their teens; a cult collective whose songs have been played as much in teenagers’ bedrooms in the 90s as in Californian skateparks.

After more than ten years’ absence, the American veterans Grandaddy are back with Last Place, the successor to Just Like the Fambly Cat, released in 2006 and in line with the dreamy and idealistic pop-rock to which the group was a precursor.

Led by Jason Lytle, head of the quintet with his own numerous side projects and incisive humour, the group is known for its spacey and blissed out concerts, where pop is transformed into rock. Despite their long careers, the Americans haven’t lost an ounce of their energy.

Combining old and new songs, Grandaddy performs here at Paris at the Arte Concert Festival - a highly anticipated event delighting the Californians’ many French fans.
