If ever a Bonaparte counted apart from his brother Napoleon, it was Joseph.
In turns King of Naples, King of Spain and a member of the American bourgeoisie, he helped re-establish friendly relations and trade ties with the US.
During his stay in Point Breeze between 1815 and 1832, Joseph restored the Bonaparte image and became an influential man through his eloquence, culture, and the secrets that he kept.
This documentary portrays a man with two faces, European and American.
Although a legitimate pretender to the Imperial throne, why didnít he take power?
Simple in his ways and concerned for the public good, Joseph suffered from being compared to his brother.
