Imagine a thread going from Toulouse to Tirana via Lecce… this thread is the pizzica, the trance dance created by women in southern Italy to cure tarantula bites and free themselves from patriarchal oppression. This concert takes us from hypnotic tarantellas to Albanian sounds, from mischievous jazz to frenetic waltzes.
