SÖNDÖRGO – Tamburocket Hungarian Fireworks
90' - 2017 - CLC Productions/Tangaro – LMD Productions – Le Quartz Scène nationale de Brest - Télénantes – TéléGrenoble – LCN La Chaîne Normande
Synopsis
These young musicians from Szentendre, a small village near Budapest in which Serbs are in the minority, are part of a new generation of virtuoso groups.
It’s a family affair: following in the footsteps of their fathers and uncles, cousins David and Aaron, accompanied by their faithful double bass player Attila Buzas, have been joined by their little brothers Salomon and Benjamin.
Multi-instrumentalists and virtuosos despite their young age, they are the guardians of a tradition of Balkan music that is still played by Serbo-Croatian minorities in Hungary today, and are highly respected for this by the Serbs, who are thus able to rediscover the sounds of their childhood.
