    Synopsis

    Recital given on May 21, 2003 as part of "Midis musical" by young Japanese artists in residence at the Châtelet (franco Japanese Foundation Sasakawa).

     

    The soprano Yuri Maria SAENZ and the pianist Minori AZUMA, joined for two pieces by the soprano Tomoko TAGUCHI, perform French and German songs from the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

     

     

    - "Zephyr: triplet to Philis" by Claude DEBUSSY on a poem of Banville.

    - "Muted" (excerpt from Fetes galantes) by Claude DEBUSSY

     

    - "Four songs of youth" of Claude DEBUSSY:

    * Pantomime (Verlaine)

    * Moonlight (Verlaine)

    * Pierrot (Banville)

    * Apparition (Mallarmé)

     

    - Three works by Francis POULENC on texts by Louise de Vilmorin:

    * "The Lady of Andrew" (1939)

    * "Queen of the Seagulls" (1943)

    * "He steals" (1939)

     

    In duo with Tomoko TAGUCHI (soprano), two works by Gabriel FAURE:

    - "Since here low all soul", opus 10 n ° 1 (text of Victor Hugo)

    - "Tarentelle" opus 10 n ° 2 (text by Monnier)

    * "Hat gesagt ... bleibt's nicht dabei" (he said ... but will not stop there), 1898, opus 36 No. 3 (from the collection of popular songs Knaben Wunderhorn).

    * "Standchen" opus 17 n ° 2
