    MONTE CARLO : THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONCERTS AT THE PRINCE’S PALACE 75' + 69'  - 2009  - Karl More Productions
    Synopsis

    In 1959, His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III and the orchestra’s musical director, Louis Frémaux, inaugurated a summer season which, other the years, has become a major event for music lovers from all over the world.

    Summer 2009 : 2 concerts to celebrate the 50th  anniversary of the concerts at the Prince’s Palace.

     

    1st concert : BERNSTEIN , TCHAIKOVSKY, DVORAK (75’) :

    • Leonard Bernstein : On the town : 3 dance Episodes
    • Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovsky : « Romeo & Juliette » ouverture fantaisie, d’après Shakespeare
    • Anton Dvorak : Concerto pour violon & orchestre in B minor, opus 104
