Synopsis
A Lifesaving boat in the fog. Newfoundland, end of the 18th century.
In this boat, survivors for a ship wreck. Among them, one man different from the others. This man is a painter. His name is Georges Ricard Cordingley.
This half dead man starving and suffering from the cold weather was a few months before the favorite of the royal court of England: the preferred painter of Queen Victoria.
How did he end up there?
Through conversations with his daughter now 80 years old and with the help of painting specialists, we will discover the uncommon life of this man who didn’t hesitate to leave behind glory and wealth for his love of adventure.
