In October 2021, CIASE will publish its report on sexual abuse in the Church between 1950 and 2020.
Cases of sexual abuse within the Church have left tangible traces. In 2018, the French Bishops' Conference decided to set up an independent commission to draw the consequences of these destructive acts and restore trust.
CIASE brings together 22 experts who have been working to shed light on sexual abuse in the Catholic Church since 1950. For 3 years, the commissioners studied archives and collected testimonies, notably during a tour of France to meet victims.
This film gives a voice to the members of this unprecedented commission during their final year of investigation. Professionals from all walks of life (magistrate, professor of canon law, theologian, etc.), they drew up their recommendations in collaboration with the victims.
