Perched on her heels at all times, Haylen was first influenced by Nirvana, Incubus and System of a Down. It was in the underground, in squats and on underground stages that she forged a solid reputation as a rhythm guitarist and established herself as a talented singer with a smooth, deep voice. During a jam session, she crossed paths with Simon Truxillo and Andrew Mazingue, who helped her record her first tracks. Then she discovered Amy Winehouse, the soul of soul, jazz, the whole vintage and glamorous world of the 50s/60s and its icons who still inspire her today: Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Wanda Jackson, Betty Davis, Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley...
