Isidore’s Great Dream
52' - 2024 - La Boite à Songes
Synopsis
High on the hills of the Saint-Chéron district in Chartres lies a most unusual home: the Maison Picassiette. For 25 years, Raymond Isidore—nicknamed “Picassiette”—transformed every corner of his house using fragments of colorful mosaics. Every surface is covered in vibrant shards of broken ceramics, creating a dazzling gem of outsider art filled with fantastical patterns and characters.
Sixty years after his passing, can you imagine him awakening once more at 22 rue du Repos to present his masterpiece?
For the first time, family acquaintances, artists, experts, writers, and visitors come together to tell Isidore’s Great Dream—the story of a man who built a world like no other.
