Drawing on the traditional music of the Mediterranean and Brazil, Les Dames de La Joliette perform original compositions specially crafted for their voices.
The distinctive vocal timbres of the five singers blend together through love poems and protest songs, weaving polyphonies with polyrhythms.

Les Dames de La Joliette commissioned a custom-built percussion table designed by luthier Philippe Berne. Similar to a cajón, the table is made up of different striking zones producing a variety of frequencies and timbres. Gathering the musicians around a single instrument, it reconnects with the tradition of a cappella singing.
