Founded in 2000, Mimoria Tramandata is dedicated to the living transmission of Corsican heritage. For more than twenty-five years, the ensemble has carried out educational and artistic work with children, teenagers, and adults through workshops in sacred and secular polyphonic singing, deeply rooted in villages and primary schools across the island.

This tradition of oral transmission, firmly anchored in Corsica’s history and identity, has also extended beyond the island’s shores, reaching Italy, Sardinia, and the Basque Country.

Conceived as both a catharsis and a musical opera, this concert unfolds as a sonic tale that opens a gateway to the history of a nation. Drawing on historical accounts and oral tradition, the work evokes heroic epics, legends, and everyday life during a turbulent period.
