    La Redoute: Reinventing a Fashion Empire 45'  - 2026  - PARAMONTI
    Synopsis

It is a French institution that will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its iconic catalogue in 2026. La Redoute, a giant of mail-order retail, came close to bankruptcy in 2014. Since then, it has reinvented itself, focusing on textiles, furniture and home décor, with a guiding principle: “affordable style for everyone.” Today, it proudly serves 10 million customers and generates €1 billion in revenue.

From strategic meetings and shopping sessions to product testing, how is the new Spring–Summer 2026 collection designed in its “lab loft” in Roubaix? How are the products then manufactured in partnership with a network of 500 French suppliers?

We also follow a store manager during the intense summer sales period, as well as several customers — some loyal for years, others newly attracted by the brand’s transformed identity.

Finally, we meet Sylvette, a long-time employee who lovingly preserves an extraordinary collection of old La Redoute catalogues and is preparing an exhibition this spring to mark the brand’s centenary.
