Guillaume and the New Zealand Trouts
58' - 2015 - Saison Cinq
Synopsis
Guillaume Durand is 28-year old fly fishing guide in the Verdon who lives for one thing: his fishing trips to New Zealand between December and March of each year. Setting out on his own and eschewing travel agencies and English-speaking guides, Guillaume’s 3-month itineraries are compiled from his own research and information he gleans from his Kiwi friends.
Through his passion, Guillaume introduces us the country’s natural splendours: its rivers, its forests bordering the South Pacific bays, its beautiful brown and rainbow trout, and an ancient Japanese fishing technique, the art of Tenkara, which has close parallels with swordsmanship and demands a total mastery of one’s energy and breathing.
