With their new show, the master drummers of Les Tambours de Brazza continue to display the skill that has made them famous since 1991, dancing to the beat of their impressive Ngoma drums. There’s one big difference, however: in Kikulu, more emphasis is placed on song. The men’s deep voices respond both to the drums and more modern instruments such as the guitar, electric bass, drums, and vibrate even a cappella. These songs guide us to the heart of initiatory rites, brought back to life by the members of the group.
