Hawaii, an archipelago of eight main islands, is a dream destination for many people. Lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, 4000 kilometres from the American coast, it’s best known for its waves and surfing - a sport that’s been elevated to the ranks of a religion. But the other special feature of this American state is what’s known as the “Aloha Spirit”: a feeling and a state of mind that attracts thousands of tourists every year, as well as the 3000 French people who have decided to move there permanently. We meet three of them.
