Arnaud of Gascony
56' - 2016 - SAISON CINQ
Synopsis
Take a 50-year old man who looks almost like an ogre; taste his recipes for game, foie gras, magret, cèpes and grilled fish; follow him across the Southwest as he hunts for migratory birds; share his knowledge of ornithology, watercourses and the wetlands; listen to what his friends and family have to say about him and the passion that consumes him in autumn and winter.
“Arnaud of Gascony” is a cinematic portrait, a forgiving look at an immoderate hunter, whose passion drives him to kill hundreds of birds every year. An attempt to explain the paradox of hunting (I love you therefore I'll kill you), this film is also an ode to the practice, and the regions that comprise the southwest and provide its natural wealth.
