Ellis Hooks: With seven albums, a Blues Awards nomination, and extensive collaborations with Little Milton and Steve Cropper, Ellis has also shared the stage with Carla Thomas and Terence Trent D’Arby. He’s undoubtedly the more Soul-infused of the two—even though his powerful, gospel-rooted voice was toughened on the streets of New York.

Chris Bergson, a professor at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, is a masterful guitarist and the duo’s anchor to its most Rock and Blues roots. His wide-ranging influences span Jazz, Funk Rock, and above all, Delta blues, early Chicago blues, and iconic bands from the '60s and '70s.

Together, the duo delivers an explosive live show—a whirlwind of Rhythm & Blues and Blues Rock, brimming with energy and creativity. Their music recalls the soul of Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett, the Southern rock of the Allman Brothers and Little Feat, and the blues of B.B. King and the legendary Howlin’ Wolf guitarist Hubert Sumlin.
