In the Misteria Paschalia Festival in Krakow, American Conductor Skip Sempé invites us to discover the Messe des Morts by Jean Gilles, one of the most famous French Requiem.
Really popular in the XVIIIth century, this requiem was widely used for funerals. It accompanied the ceremony of illustrious people and it was performed during the funerals of Rameau, King Louis XV, and Jean Gilles its creator !
