Cross-country is a splendid discipline, perhaps the noblest of all in the philosophical sense of the term. It’s the discipline of patient men and women who take the time to work on maturer horses that have left the giddiness of their youth behind them.
The trainers are highly skilled at fine tuning those horses that merit it, and their agile, brave mounts return the favour through their magnificent victories, just like “Chriseti", "Another Whisper" and "Phakos”.
By the end of this equestrian epic we’ll be in no doubt that these brave "old" cross-country horses also deserve their place in racing legend.
