Born in Paris to a Martinican mother and a Saint Vincentian father, David Walters grew up between Caribbean, African, and European cultures. From an early age, he was immersed in an environment where music was part of everyday life, shaped by traditional West Indian rhythms, American soul, reggae, Afrobeat, and Creole music. As a teenager, he discovered the guitar and later percussion, developing an instinctive approach to rhythm and singing.
