At the end of the Cap Ferret peninsula, there is another; that of Mimbeau, a narrow strip of sand planted with a few pines, yuccas and helichrysum, which suddenly rises up towards the north and encloses a tidal lagoon. The result is a very special ecosystem.

This film tells the story of the 70-year life of a maritime pine, sprouted by chance from a kernel blown on the wind to this micro desert between 2 environments; that of the Arcachon Basin and its oyster beds and this lagoon.
