    Guillaume and the Verdon Trout 4K 52'  - 2021  - SAISON CINQ
    Synopsis

A portrait of a man of many parts, with a passion for fly-fishing, philosophy and literature, and a deep appreciation of physical movement and life in general.

In love with freedom and adventure, Guillaume has fished all the rivers in the North Island of New Zealand. His attachment to this country was the subject of a film in 2014: Guillaume et les truites de nouvelles Zélande (William and the New Zealand Trout).

But his real home is the hinterland of Nice and the rivers of his youth. It was there that he was awakened to nature, drawn from an early age to the vertiginous cliffs of the Gorges du Verdon. Guillaume is a guide and lives in Castellane, surrounded by a host of colourful characters. But he is not like the other guides. In direct contrast to the trophy-seekers, he offers a naturalistic and aesthetic approach, respectful of the natural order and the animal kingdom, which demands a great deal both from himself and his clients.
