Synopsis
In the middle of the Amazonian forest, 1 day of navigation away from the coast and two days away from Georgetown, on the bank of the Barima River, stands “Amazon Caribbean”, a factory producing hearts of palm with its 200 employees and 600 pickers, all Amerindians.
Presenting the whole hearts of palm’s conditioning process, this film tells us the history of this uncommon enterprise, created twelve years ago, that successfully achieved to allow ancestral Amazonian indigenous way of living to coexist with this free market economy …
