On January 12th, 2010 at 4:53 p.m. an earthquake hit Haiti near Port-au-Prince. During the 37 seconds of the main shock, walls collapsed and lives were changed forever.
Crushed under one of these walls was Yslande, a young student. Her right leg amputated to save her life, not only did she lose a limb on that day but her hopes and dreams. For the last 10 years, Yslande has been struggling to lead a normal life and rebuild her future.
