CONCERTO FOR VIOLIN by BRAHMS: Nikolaj Znaider & Ivan Fischer
90' - 2011 - Karl More Productions
Synopsis
Nikolaj Znaider is the opposite of the shooting stars that are studding the sky of classical music today. Since he began, he has taken his time: to work, but also to reflect and develop his various talents. Although increasingly in demand as a conductor, he is not neglecting his violin.
Born into a Hungarian Jewish family, in which music was the second language, Ivan Fischer’s interest lies in ‘serving” his country and “nurturing” new generations rather than shining on the international stage. The Orchestre du Festival de Budapest is the spearhead of his artistic commitment.
The concert programme:
- Johannes Brahms (Ungarische Tänze N° 7 et 10)
- Antonin Dvorak (sinfonie N° 8 G-Dur)
