"People come here to ski, but above all to party. It’s the après-ski tradition: we start drinking at 1.30pm and then dance in the clubs until dawn". Twenty-six year old Thomas and his friends have chosen to spend their winter holidays in the Tyrol, in the famous Austrian resort of Ischgl. A small village with a permanent population of just 1,500 people, during the winter months it transforms itself into the liveliest ski resort on the planet.
With its strip bars, luxury hotels, clubs and sports shops, Ischgl is like a mini Las Vegas, attracting thousands of partygoers from all over the world, as well as a host of stars including Paris Hilton and Naomi Campbell.
Günther Aloys is the visionary hotelier who adapted Ibiza’s low cost party concept to winter tourism. He also created Top of The Mountain, one of the biggest festivals in the Alps, where Elton John, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé have already performed.
