As part of the Music and History Festival for intercultural dialogue, under the direction of Jordi SAVALL, Montserrat FIGUERAS, vocals and zither, Pascal BERTIN, countertenor, Lluis VILAMAJO, tenor, Marc MAUILLON, baritone, Furio ZANASI, baritone, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, and Hespèrion XXI, perform “The Forgotten Kingdom, the Cathar tragedy”. René ZOSSO and Manuel FORCARO, reciters, also participate in this concert recorded on July 27, 2010 at the Fontfroide Abbey in Narbonne. Vast poetic and musical fresco, illustrating the time of the troubadours and that of the history of Occitania. A tribute to the painful past of the unjustly and ferociously persecuted Cathar civilization.
