As part of the 8th Festival of Music and History for Intercultural Dialogue, Hespérion XXI and the Capella Reial de Catalunya, under the direction of Jordi SAVALL, perform Jewish, Berber, Arab-Andalusian music, Catillian songs and romances, Mozarabic pieces and villancicos, as well as texts, reconstructing the history of the splendor and decadence of Granada.
With guest musicians from various Eastern countries: Waed BOUHASSOUN, vocals and oud, Lior ELMALEH, vocals, Driss EL MALOUMI, vocals and oud, narrators Manuel FORCANO and René ZOSSO, Moslem RAHAL, ney, Hakan GUNGOR, kanun, Yurdal TOKCAN, oud, Haig SARIKOUYOUMDJIAN, duduk, Dimitri PSONIS, santur and bells, Erez Shmuel MOUNK, percussion and Jordi Savall (viola da gamba).
