As part of the 8th Festival of Music and History for Intercultural Dialogue, under the direction of Jordi SAVALL, the Capella Reial de Catalunya, Hesperion XXI and the Le Concert des Nations orchestra, perform several pieces by composers retracing the different stages of the “thirty years” War to the Peace of Utrecht (1613 - 1713) Concert recorded on July 19, 2013 at Fontfroide Abbey in Narbonne.

Music of War and Peace; Instrumental battles by Samuel Scheidt, John Jenkins, Philidor, Jean Baptiste Lully, Joan Cabanilles and anonymous Turks and music for the celebration of peace; Da Pacem by Johann Hermann Schein, Johann Rosenmüller, Praise the Lord by John Blow and Jubilate Deo by J.B. Lully and George Frideric Handel (for the Peace of Utrecht 1713).
