“Le Sacre du Tympan” is a jazz big band created by Fred Pallem, who is also its bassist and composer.

Fred Pallem is strongly influenced by André Popp, Charles Ives, Duke Ellington, and Neil Young. The orchestra is composed of 17 musicians and some of them are coming from the jazz department of the CNSM of Paris.

This orchestra has accompanied the Victoire de la Musique ceremony in 2003 and 2004, and it’s also the winner in the category “French revelation” in 2006.
