My Little Concert is a series of educational concerts narrated in French, allowing children to immerse themselves in a musical story, based on well-known works from the repertoire or on specific themes. The My Little Concert orchestra is made up of professional musicians from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. With a variable geometry, the orchestra tackles all repertoires in the form of themed concerts. Accomplished musicians as well as teachers, the members of the orchestra are keen to pass on their passion.

For this Little Concert, we present a musical version of Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty tells the story of a princess cursed at birth: at the age of sixteen, she pricks her finger and falls into a long sleep, from which only a prince’s kiss can awaken her.

Beyond its fairy-tale narrative, the story symbolizes the transition from childhood to adulthood, marked by waiting, silence, and inner transformation. The sleep represents a period of initiation—a journey through time and self before awakening to consciousness and love. The prince, more than a savior, embodies the force of desire and renewal. Together, they restore harmony between life, nature, and destiny.
