Nostalgic but never melancholy, The Picky Banshees’ warm ballads sweep unfettered through time and space in the pure spirit of American folk. Perfect harmonies, rocky voices, guitars, harmonicas... simple music, as effective as it is exotic!

Playing live as a trio, quartet or quintet since 2017, they have combined their tastes and influences, which include not only Johnny Cash, Neil Young and the great American folksingers, but also the voices of Aretha Franklin and Billie Holiday, some memories of favourite family albums (Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Beatles), and the darker writing of Bashung and Nick Cave.
