Synopsis
Overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, Storm Ciaran is expected to sweep across France’s Atlantic coastline. Wind speeds of up to 150 km/h are forecast. Meteorologists are calling it a “meteorological bomb.”
With extremely low atmospheric pressure (955 hPa), sea levels are expected to rise, bringing waves of 10 to 13 metres along with heavy rainfall. Residents, shopkeepers, firefighters, and local authorities—how is Brittany’s western tip preparing for and coping with this storm?
