Synopsis
France has the second-largest number of hotels in the world, after the United States. Among its 18,000 hotels, many are independently owned, human-scale establishments run by passionate hoteliers. But faced with the health crisis, staff recruitment issues, rising costs, and competition from large chains, Airbnb, and booking platforms, they must fight daily to attract travelers and stay in business.
