The story of the Bel-Air Chamber Music Festival as told by the festival's artistic director, violinist Renaud Capuçon.
Founded by Renaud Capuçon, the Bel-Air Festival brings together the great names of classical music in a convivial atmosphere every year, while also giving young musicians a chance. Both artistic director and performer, Renaud Capuçon shares his passion for chamber music with guest musicians and audiences alike.
Since 1994, concerts, exhibitions and courses have followed one another at the rate of 5 to 7 events a year, culminating in the Bel-Air Chamber Music Festival held every year between late August and early September. Some of the finest performers of the last 20 years have taken part, including Martha Argerich, Frank Braley, Stephen Kovacevich, Natalie Dessay and the artistic director's brother, cellist Gautier Capuçon.
