The Freaky Buds’ roots are firmly planted in the classics of electric Blues, from R.L. Burnside and Little Walter to Howlin' Wolf and Magic Sam, mixed with more contemporary and resolutely rock influences such as The Black Keys, Royal Blood, The Dead Weathers and even Deap Vally.

The band is unusual in that it has no bass player - in homage to their blues influences.

On stage, the four play as one and recreate the atmosphere of the juke joints of Mississippi: a raw quality, produced by timeless music, punctuated with improvisation and passion.
