In California and more widely in the United States, a neo-hunter-gatherer movement has emerged over the past decade. Urban for the most part, former vegans sometimes, these neo-predators are unusual in that they are totally untainted by the general public’s often negative view of hunters.
Fleeing the junk food supermarkets, they have found hunting and gathering to be the most natural way to obtain healthy food, from a known source. For them, nature is "an open-air grocery store".
