    THE PROVINS MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL 52'  - 2016  - MARCHAL’OMBRE
    Synopsis

Each year, the medieval town of Provins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, becomes the stage for France’s greatest medieval festival.
For two unforgettable days — June 11 and 12 — the town transforms, growing from 11,000 residents to over 80,000 visitors.

Provins comes alive as merchants, minstrels, and troubadours fill its streets, joined by artists from across Europe. We follow the Armutan Company — actors, dancers, and musicians — as they prepare for their grand performance, while master falconer Philippe Hertel readies a breathtaking show with his birds of prey.

Behind the magic, organizers race to bring centuries of history back to life. Among the crowd, the Dauvergne family, true medieval enthusiasts, live their passion to the fullest — in handmade costumes and fiery performances.

From the Saturday night medieval ball to the Sunday parade of 700 costumed participants, Provins offers a spectacular journey back in time — a celebration like no other.
