The musicians of VIDALA are united around their common love of South American music, its poets and particularly “Nueva Canción”, from which they glean new treasures every day.

VIDALA takes its name from a musical and poetic form derived from Argentinean folklore, and its inspiration from its popular songs and the “Nueva Canción” of Latin America. Women have played a major role in the cultural and political revolution of the “Nueva Canción, and it’s through the prism of their voices that the band explores its magnificent repertoire.
