Created by Francis Cabrel, the Rencontres d’Astaffort provides an opportunity for young people to explore their creativity. Twice a year, 15 young artists are invited to the Centre des Écritures de la Chanson with no other obligation than to make music together. They have a way with words or a guitar slung over their shoulder. They are writers, composers or performers, or all three at once. They spend 10 days together, enough time for everyone to bond, to collaborate, to learn where they stand artistically and to get to know themselves better as musicians or writers.
