In the 1980s, telephones plugged into the wall and had rotary dials and handsets with earpieces upon which you listened to the caller. We wore sleeveless sweaters over patterned shirts, high-waisted jeans and bum bags. We listened to music on radio-cassette players and social networks were not virtual. Somewhere back there, a small group of self-proclaimed "Unfortunates Anonymous" try to shake off their bad luck. Together, they test out “joy workshops” and well-being experiences and try to find the recipe for happiness.
The four members of the cast create a world which laughter and tears, buffoonery and rage, absurdity and tenderness co-exist, giving this highly imaginative show a unique charm, combining humour tinged with surrealism, an acerbic look at human frailties, the utopia of "togetherness" and a whimsical and gentle poetry.
