The acrobats of Circus La Compagnie, graduates of the Montreal Circus School, are back! Visually breathtaking and brimming with poetic detail, Pandax is a fabulous circus show that beautifully balances gravity and lightness.
Awarded at the prestigious Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain a few years ago, this lively French-Swiss troupe bursts with energy in a burlesque family drama where absolutely nothing goes according to plan.
Five brothers are returning from their father’s funeral, his ashes stored in the trunk of their Fiat Panda. Night falls in the middle of the countryside… and then comes the crash! What follows is a tragicomic chain of exuberant twists and turns, featuring everything from teeterboard and Chinese pole acts to acrobatics on the roof and through the windows of the Panda itself. Accompanied by three sharp-tongued musician-singers who effortlessly weave between jazz, klezmer, and electro music, they sweep us along on this slightly mad, fraternal circus road movie.
