FOR EVER FORTUNE: 18th century Scottish music 70'  - 2012  - Karl More Productions
    Synopsis

Devoted to the mysterious charms of traditional Scottish music, with its dance tunes, songs and “grounds”, this programme will appeal to both early and folk music fans. Convivial, everyday music, composed for dances, home entertainment or concerts as the circumstances dictated, taken from publications spanning the whole of the 18th century. Poetic and nostalgic, dynamic and virtuosic, this music is the fruit of a subtle blend of ancient modalities and Baroque harmony.
